Integrity Asia as a Guest Speaker at SwissCham Indonesia’s HCD Sectoral Group Meeting
Integrity Asia had the honor to be one of the guest speakers atSwiss Chamber Indonesia’s (SwissCham) Human Capital Development (HCD) Sectoral Group’s monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.
In the virtual meeting attended by HR leaders from several of its member companies, SwissCham was represented by Vice Chairman of The Board Mr. Henry Chia and Mrs. Pingkan Mokalu – Executive Director as the moderator. Meanwhile, Integrity Asia was represented by Managing Director Mr. Edouard Helfand and Mrs. Nancy Desianti, Head of Employment Background Screening.
Some of the topics covered in this meeting included updates from SwissCham board members over the last few months, the implementation of the omnibus bill presented by one of the member companies in order to offer insights to other members, and employment background screening as a fraud prevention tool by Integrity Asia.
Mr. Helfand took advantage of this excellent opportunity to discuss the value of background screening as a deterrence method. The mere presence of an employment screening program can deter a percentage of dubious applicants, particularly as the number of people falsifying certificates to secure a job is increasing.
The fact that fraudsters even advertise their services openly through their websites is a threat in itself.
Employment History raised the most red flags in Integrity Asia’s screening figures in 2020, followed by falsification of diploma degrees.
