Celebrating Indonesia’s Independence Day

In celebration of the 77th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, PT Integrity Indonesia conducted an “office competition week”. This lively event was held between 16 to 19 August 2022 on the rooftop of Integrity’s headquarters office.

Independence Day competitions have become a tradition for Indonesian citizens across the nation. After two years of silent and isolated, Independence Day celebrations due to the pandemic, the lively festivities have returned.

These competitions are usually held in local neighborhoods, offices, schools, and other communities. Usually, the competitions held are a mixture of various modern and traditional games. Two iconic, traditional games that are usually played are cracker-eating and greased pole climbing (panjat pinang).

This year, Integrity Indonesia held four different competitions: chess, cracker-eating, mask-painting, and foosball. The competition week was opened with a chess and foosball match, followed by a cracker eating and an assessment of the mask painting competition the following day.

The contestants, who came from various divisions, enthusiastically participated and competed for interesting prizes.

In addition to preserving traditions on independence day, this competition was also held to strengthen the bond and togetherness between employees through fun and creative activities.
